Angelida Stewart (b. 2003) is an interdisciplinary artist from eastern Kentucky. Stewart is currently pursuing a BFA in ceramics and sculpture from Northern Kentucky University (2025). Their work addresses marginalization through an intersectional lens, drawing from their personal experiences as a queer Black American. Using a critical perspective, Stewart examines the mirrored relationship between their familial alienation and systemic forces. Their multimedia sculptural approach compliments their figurative ceramic work through a blend of aesthetic qualities, elevating their themes of conflict, trauma, and growth. Stewart has exhibited work at The Carnegie (KY).
